From Hong Kong, arrange cross-border rail or air to a mainland hub before the Lhasa train. No Hong Kong–Lhasa direct train is claimed. Verify both tickets, station changes, entry formalities and overnight stays separately.
Planning sequence: origin, train, Lhasa
- Before departure, check city, station, date, service, berth and total duration; multi-day journeys must not be counted as a single day.
- Bring the original booking ID and Tibet documents for your status; allow time for security and manual checks.
- Follow staff instructions and rest onboard; not every plateau landscape is passed in daylight.
- Rest after Lhasa pickup, then add Lhasa culture, Yamdrok, Tsang or Everest according to health and permissions.
