Connection plan
Chongqing can serve as an international arrival or mainland connection city. Check 12306 for a suitable direct Lhasa service on your date; otherwise consider rail or air to Xining with an overnight buffer before the plateau train. Tight connections are not the default.
Planning sequence: origin, train, Lhasa
- Before departure, check city, station, date, service, berth and total duration; multi-day journeys must not be counted as a single day.
- Bring the original booking ID and Tibet documents for your status; allow time for security and manual checks.
- Follow staff instructions and rest onboard; not every plateau landscape is passed in daylight.
