We adjust the itinerary around morning and evening light for photography, opening hours for monastery visits, and trail conditions and weather for walking.
In cities, you can generally request four-star-class accommodation. In Ngari and mountain areas, equivalent properties are unavailable, so we use local accommodation whose facilities we have checked. Please tell us in advance about requirements such as heating, hot water and private toilets.
Meals combine Tibetan and Chinese cuisine, with spice levels and food allergies accommodated where possible. Options are limited in mountain areas. When planning travel, we consider mountain passes, roads and rest stops as well as distance.
